Among all the organs under your direct supervision, Kayhan's record is, frankly, the heaviest. Over the past several years, Kayhan has slandered whomever it pleased, fabricated whatever lies it wished, and defended murder and killing. It has openly threatened people in its pages, and in some cases, after Kayhan's threats, those people have indeed been arrested and imprisoned. And there is much more. Yet no complaint against Kayhan has ever gotten anywhere, and no one has ever been able to obtain justice. It is you, as Kayhan's ultimate overseer and as the one who brought this gang to power, who must answer. Please add the attached text, which is a lie from beginning to end, to Kayhan's black record, and place a copy of it in your own file as well, for when you answer to the people of Iran.
And if you have the courage, order the judiciary to execute the six-hundred-million-toman bail it holds in the form of my parents' and my brother's homes.
In the Name of God
If You Have No Religion, at Least Be Free-Spirited
Mr. Khamenei:
Greetings. You ought to be accountable, but you are not. If the country's constitution were sound, you would be accountable in proportion to the vast powers delegated to you. Unfortunately, however, there is no body or organ in the country that can question you and the organizations under your supervision, or hold you and them to account, for what you and they do. You have also shut down the free press, so it cannot act as the voice of the nation and criticize the conduct of these organs or of you personally.
Yet among all of them, Kayhan's record is, frankly, the heaviest of all the organs under your direct supervision.
The people who run Kayhan are not of a stature that makes them worth answering at all. It has now become entirely clear that the Kayhan people are accomplices of the current government. They are part of a gang that amasses twenty-billion fortunes and will do anything to attain power. But they hurl abuse at everyone and every institution so that no one will ask them where they got their own money from, or where they themselves came from. This is an old trick in politics.
But it is you, as Kayhan's ultimate overseer and as the one who brought this gang to power, who must answer. Please add the attached text, which is a lie from beginning to end, to Kayhan's black record, and place a copy of it in your own file as well, for when you answer to the people of Iran. For your information, I should also point out that not a single member of Tahkim [the Office for Consolidating Unity] has sought asylum in Britain. As for me, after treatment and surgery on my right eye and my heart, I am now undergoing treatment on my left eye. I am also using a one-year research fellowship at Yale University so that I can complete my treatment. And if you have the courage, order the judiciary to execute the six-hundred-million-toman bail it holds in the form of my parents' and my brother's homes, so that I am released from the duty of completing my treatment and preserving my body and can leave for Iran immediately. Rest assured, of course, that as a matter of duty I will protest the six-year prison sentence you have set aside for me with a hunger strike, and my blood will be on your hands.
Mr. Khamenei, just fear God a little; otherwise, in the words of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), if you have no religion, at least be free-spirited.

Dissolution of the Allameh Faction of the Office for Consolidating Unity (Special News)
Reports indicate that some members of the central council of the Office for Consolidating Unity (Allameh faction) intend to leave the country and seek asylum in Western countries. A few months ago, a number of elements of this illegal faction of the Office for Consolidating Unity also left Iran and, with the cooperation of the fugitive counterrevolutionary Mohsen Sazegara, became political refugees in England.
Also, according to ISCA News, an informed source within this faction has announced that some members of the central council, after completing the final preparations for their organization's sham election, are now seeking to arrange their departure from the country.
According to this news agency, while last week a member of the Allameh central council had attributed the postponement of their sham election to the cold weather, another member of this faction, speaking with this news agency, rejected that claim and named severe disputes among the central members as the real reason for the delay.
In addition, an informed official in the Office for Consolidating Unity, speaking with a Kayhan correspondent, described the disputes among the members of the Allameh faction's central council as extensive and, referring to the flight of this organization's extremist elements from the country, reported the possibility of the dissolution of the Allameh faction of the Office for Consolidating Unity.
